Good morning.

Please review the following site; it fits so well with what we're learning, I thought you might appreciate it. -Last chapter, David met a new character, Signora Bang.  She was very kind to him and gave him some insight into her past.  David learns about a woman named Edith Hjorth Fengel and he starts to put together the pieces of his past.  Now we know why the man sent him to Denmark!  Today's assignment is to read chapter seven; in it, David meets a new foe and a new friend.  Read on--we're almost done!
-Tomorrow, I'll assign the questions for chapter seven and they'll be due on Wednesday.

-Last class we learned about Globalization and you were challenged to find things around the house.  Compare your work to the answers below then scroll down to see today's assignment.

-know that “high income countries” are dark green and most people make lots of money there compared to “low income countries” which are dark orange and most people are very poor there.
-look for patterns on this graph
-now go to the Our World in Data website and we’ll study the Happiness and Life Satisfaction graphs—https://ourworldindata.org/happiness-and-life-satisfaction) and scroll down to the first graph which is the Self-Reported Life Satisfaction 2018 graph—know that the darker green the country, the happier the people and the darker orange the country, the less happier the people

3.  Using the Self-Reported Life Satisfaction 2018 graph, identify four countries where people reported high levels of life satisfaction.  /4
4.  Using the same graph, identify four countries where people reported low levels of life satisfaction.  /4
5.  Using the same graph, identify one country where there is no report as to the level of life satisfaction.  Why do you think that is?  /1
6.  What understanding can be made from comparing these two graphs?  (This means that I want you to think about the patterns you see on the two graphs-where to rich people live and where do happy people live? for example).  /2
7.  Identify a factor in life that would make people’s satisfaction with life very high even though it has nothing to do with money.  Explain.  /2
